Please reach out to discuss issues that are important to you - not only during this election, but in the next term. It is important that your council is aware of your needs and vision for the future of Bracebridge and Muskoka. Together, we can make it happen!

 

I will continue to:

 

  • be open, honest and transparent.

  • listen (not hearing but actually listening to understand).

​​

  • find new and innovative ways to keep you updated on what Council is working on. 

​

  • have a steady and thoughtful decision making process that keeps the future in mind not just the term.​

​​

  • advocate to all levels of government to let them know blanket solutions don't work in Muskoka and to help them form policies that make sense here.

 

  • push for innovative Muskoka-made solutions to our challenges.

​

  • enthusiastically support initiatives and supports that ensure we are all able to thrive.

​​

  • be a steward of our taxes by ensuring both the District and Town continue to have strong financial positions while we continue to invest in the services we need. 

​​

  • drive for stronger customer service at the Town and District levels through new technologies and policies. 

​​

  • advocate for health care that works for everyone. A hospital that works for us now and into the future and auxiliary care right here in our community.

​

  • connect businesses and organizations to local government and find ways to work together.

​​

  • ensure housing is a major focus for Bracebridge and Muskoka and continue pushing forward with work underway on the housing supply front. No matter what type of housing we are speaking about, we need to find solutions that meet our needs in Bracebridge and Muskoka so that housing is available for all budgets.

​

  • engage the younger generation when making decisions about the future of this community and I will look at all issues and make decisions with their future in mind.

 

  • make decisions with sustainability and the environment in mind -  always.

​

  • communicate and consult with the community to ensure you are aware of what we are working on and will be available, visible and respond to your requests in a timely manor.

​

  • stay in contact with the business community and ensure open dialogue and awareness of initiatives that the Town of Bracebridge and District of Muskoka is proposing and moving forward.​​

​

  • actively seek possible candidates to represent our whole community - visible minorities, Indigenous Peoples, members from the LGBTQ2S+ community, and people with disabilities to ensure we are seeing issues through everyone's lens to come up with the best outcome and solutions for all.

​

  • Push for a Muskoka wide, economic development view, not just in each municipality.
